Students Discuss Their CRTC Experiences...

Welcome to the Concord Regional Technical Center's website!  Greetings to all, including our future students, present students, graduates, staff, and community members.

The CRTC has had a long and successful history of providing Career and Technical Education to students in Concord and surrounding communities.  We have many graduates to
prove it.

Career and Technical Education is focused on learning, just as in any classroom; yet, what we also offer is the opportunity to transfer knowledge and apply it to real-life situations.

Success at CRTC and Beyond...
"CRTC classes are more hands-on. We work with real equipment to practice instead of always reading from books,"  Alyssa L'Heureux, Health Science & Technology

"I love this program because I get to work hands-on with my peers ... and students from other schools,"  Kassandra Horning, Automotive Technology

"My internship... gives me a chance to put in action what I know and have learned,"  Tessa Dyer, Exploring Teaching

"The classes ... can truly benefit your life, allow you to obtain a potential future career,"  Nate DuPont, Information Technology

"Learning by doing is the easiest way to learn,"  Brian Barnes, Information Technology

"It's a jump start on the career I want (RN),"  Emily Griffin, Health Science & Technology

Staff and Facilities at CRTC
"...in 20+ years in the business I realized that what I was doing the entire time was teaching people...and people teaching me...,Bob McIntosh, Chef/Instructor, Culinary Arts

"Most exciting... is passing my knowledge to students and seeing students succeed.  The auto shop has ...some of the latest technology that we have in the industry,"  Phil Bill, Instructor, Automotive Technology

"...no other place I would rather be, nothing I would rather do," John Hubbard, Instructor, Construction Technology

"As a high school student here at Concord High, I took this program... a program that I loved... and it really jump-started my career,"  Val Flanders, Instructor, Exploring Teaching

CRTC's Unique Approach to Assessment

Student performance assessment exists in all schools, classes, and curricula; but at CRTC, assessment (for learning) has a unique meaning.  Continual assessment of student performance for the enhancement of student learning and improvement is dominated only by our own self-assessment for the purpose of improving CRTC services to students, parents, taxpayers and other stakeholders.  Just as our mission identifies our focus upon increasing student skills and understandings, it also focuses on the improvement of our curriculum, instruction, and facilities.

We have developed a dynamic process call SPUR to address our assessment for learning and improvement mission.
